1. Sand mill

However, it is not suitable for producing paste or thick paste-type suspension dispersions. It has low production efficiency when used to process synthetic pigments with fine particles such as carbon black that are difficult to disperse, and is used to produce abrasive pigments. It is easy to wear when the equipment is used. These factors should be considered in combination with the specific conditions when selecting equipment.
2. Ball mill
The ball mill has an outstanding effect in dispersing coarse-particle pigments, fillers, abrasive pigments and fine-particle synthetic pigments that are difficult to disperse. Due to its closed operation, the horizontal ball mill is suitable for products that require the prevention of solvent volatilization and toxic substances.
Because its grinding fineness is difficult to reach below 15um, and it is difficult to clean and change colors, it is not suitable for processing high-precision paint slurries and frequently changing designs and colors.
3 Three-roller machine
The production capacity is generally low, the structure is complex, the labor intensity of manual operation is high, and the loss of solvent evaporation is large in open operation. The biggest disadvantages are the safety factor of the open structure. Low, so the scope of application is limited. However, its characteristics of being suitable for high-viscosity paint slurry and thick-slurry products are beyond the reach of sand mills and ball mills. Therefore, it is widely used in the production of thick paint, putty and some thick paste art paints. : The roller machine is easy to process fine-particle and difficult-to-disperse synthetic pigments and high-precision products with a fineness requirement of 5-10um. At present, for some precious pigments, some manufacturers often use three-roller machines to grind them in order to give full play to their tinting power, hiding power and other pigment properties to save dosage. Since the huge shear force can be generated between the two rollers running at different speeds in the three-roller machine, the paint with high solid content will fully wet the pigment, which is conducive to obtaining better product quality, so it is used by some manufacturers. Produce high quality topcoats. In addition, because the three-roller machine is more convenient to clean and change colors, it is often used in conjunction with a sand mill to produce a small amount of toning paint for multi-color enamel paint. It is only used in the production of vinyl chloride resin paint and black and iron blue nitrocellulose paint chips. 4. Dispersion grinder
